Appellate Attorney

Matthew White

Matthew White joined Vetlaw in May 2017. In addition to having a law degree from Elon University School of Law, he also holds a Masters of Law in International Criminal Law from National University of Ireland at Galway.

Prior to joining VetLaw and attaining his North Carolina law license, Matthew worked as a case manager at an immigration law firm assisting people in applying for citizenship. Having several family members who have served in the armed forces, Matthew felt called to give back to the people who have served our country.

About
Matthew White

While he works with veterans at all levels of the appeal process, his passion and focus is arguing on behalf of claimants before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans’ Claims, particularly those veterans who were exposed to Agent Orange in areas other than Vietnam, particularly veterans who served in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Finally, Matt has a keen interest in assisting disabled veterans with psychiatric disorders, especially those suffering from PTSD, due to VA’s general lack of compassion and understanding in that area.

Raised in Statesville, North Carolina, Matt lives in Greensboro with his wife Elizabeth of five years and their two cats. In his free time, he enjoys reading and traveling.
